The Original Slayer
The legend
begins at the dawn of time. One man
starts out in life living in a garden of paradise and walks with the
creator. As time goes on a companion
comes to the seen known as “woman”. Later
they are both enticed by a serpent that thereby caused both to sin and are
banished from paradise forever. Later on
the scene a man by the name of Abraham has one child that will spring countless
offspring is tested by the Creator to sacrifice (back then the only atonement
for sin was by a blood sacrifice; these were often done by livestock) his one
and only son to the Creator, God. As the
bewildered child asks where the sacrifice was to be and which he replies “the
Lord will provide a sacrifice”. So has
it that as he raised the knife to kill his son, an angel stops him and explains
that the Lord sees that his heart is in the right place and he need not to
continue with the sacrifice. Now as you
have it off in the distance the Lord provided a Lamb for Abraham in place of
the sacrifice.
Many centuries and millenniums later a prophecy is foretold and
is fulfilled that a “Virgin shall bore a son and His name shall be called
‘Immanuel meaning God with us’”. Now in
those days it was rare for a profit to come onto the scene but one man by the
name of John encountered this man by the name of Jesus said “behold the Lamb
who takes away the sins of the world!”
Later in the ministry of Jesus, He performs miracles by: Raising the dead, Healing and cleansing the
Leopards, Casting out Demons, Calming the violent sea, and many, many
more. Now the religious rules of that
time did not approve of His teachings being that He claimed that He was equal
to God and many more, so upon one night in a garden that He decided to pray with
his Disciples he was betrayed. His
betrayal came by a kiss of his closest associates, which lead to his capture
and later his death on the Roman Cross.
Prier to his death He described how he would die then be raised again on
the “Third Day”. This so happed to occur
where the tomb that He was buried was empty.
He also mentioned about being in “the heart of the earth” for three
days. Upon doing so He took upon all our
sins once and for all in order that He might “taste death once and for
all”. So Jesus going to Hell and back
says in a final quote as He rises back to the Heavens: “and lo I will be with you always, even to
the end of the Earth”
These rings true that Jesus
Christ was the original “Slayer” being that he defeated sin and death upon that
brutal cross for you and I. I know that
it may sound strange for a man to take on brutal punishment for all your sins
and all you need to do is receive Him as your Savior because no matter what you
say or do you can not erase the sins that plague your soul. If you want to receive Jesus as your Lord and
personal Savior please ask Him into your life today. The Bible states that “man is destined to die
once and then face judgment”. You do not
know the hour that which your life will be taken from you. Please I am not going to give you some prayer
to recite, however I would wish for you to right now put away all distractions
and start your talk with God, He loves you, you know even to death. Ask Him to forgive you of all sins that you
committed (you don’t have to name everyone, He knows), ask Him to be a part in
your life from this moment on till you spend Eternity with Him. Spend some time with Him today; this is your
day for a change in the right direction.
Now if you prayed that prayer I strongly encourage you to attend
a church of your choice, however if you don’t know where to look for one below
is a link for the church that I attend; I look forward to seeing you or just
knowing that you received Jesus!
